Brian Brady Talks have been circulating for some time about when the site across the road from my office in Everton Park, near the corner of Stafford and South Pine Roads will finally be developed.
Most recent discussions about the 7.7 hectare lot are promising with Woolworths said to be lodging an application for development some time between now and July. I’ve heard that the development will entail 480 residential units, specialty stores and a Woolworths supermarket.
Development of the site will be a great asset to the suburb and surrounding areas, and will finally rid my view on the way to work of the broken down old factory style sheds that have been sitting there waiting for approval to be developed for a few years now.
We’ll have to wait and see what the final proposal actually includes, but it’s a step forward and I’m excited at the prospect of the development, that’s for sure!
