We may still be in autumn, but it definitely feels like winter has rolled around in Everton Park.
While we are very blessed to live in an area that doesn’t experience extremely cold temperatures over winter, it can still get very chilly here and it’s nice to come home to a warm and comforting house.
So if you want to keep your Everton Park real estate warm this winter, here are some tips for you:
- We’re very lucky in Queensland to still have lots of warm, sunny winter days! So take advantage of the sun’s warmth by opening up curtains during the day to let the heat in. At night close the curtains to keep the warmth from escaping!
- Gaps under doors and around windows can be responsible for letting a lot of cold air in, so make sure you seal up any gaps around the house.
- It’s easier to warm up smaller areas, so if there are rooms in the house that aren’t in use, close their doors and concentrate on keeping the warmth in the areas that need it most.
- We all love cooking up hot meals in winter, so when you do leave the oven door open when you’ve finished with it, to let the warm air waft through the house.
- If you’re still cold, put on lots of warm layers of clothing and get out the good, old ugg boots!
