Brian Brady The Easter holidays have finally started and while this is a very exciting time for a lot of Everton Park residents, it’s important that motorists remember to be especially careful on the roads during this time.
The local police will be running their Easter road safety campaign, which urges local residents to slow down on the roads and show some patience so that our roads can remain accident free and we can all have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
Unfortunately over the holidays, road fatalities are known to increase, and this is probably a case of people being in a rush to get somewhere and/or being fatigued or intoxicated when driving.
Patience is extremely important on the roads at this time of year and if you want to make sure you arrive at your destination on time then it’s important to allow lots of time to get there, as there may be a lot of traffic, and if there’s bad weather this can cause delays too.
It’s the holidays, so by all means relax and have fun, but remember to drive safely.
