If you feel guilty when you have to rush away from play dates in the park or family picnics to check your emails or share your photos on facebook, Brisbane City Council have the solution for you!  Brisbane City Council has selected 22 of our city’s most popular parks and spaces to enable people to stay connected while they’re out and about, ensuring we all enjoy as much quality play and family time outdoors as possible this spring-summer.

Brisbane City Council is putting the spotlight on Everton Park by now enabling free wireless internet access (Wi-F) at Everton Park’s very own Teralba Park.  The Wi-Fi service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it’s free for all with a Wi-Fi enabled device including personal computers, video game consoles, mobile phones, and MP3 players.  Everton Park residents merely need to search their wireless network, select ‘CouncilWiFi’, and read and accept the appropriate terms and conditions.  There is no need to login.  The supplier, EasyWeb Digital, will be providing support from 8am to 8pm every day and a hotline number will be displayed in each of the council selected Wi-Fi enabled parks and spaces.

For more information about the service please check out their terms and conditions, or to see the list of other nearby hotspots you can visit the Brisbane City Council website.

If you own or are renting real estate in Everton Park, please share your thoughts on the new Wi-Fi service.  Do you see this as being a helpful and positive addition to our Everton Park community, or do you think we are better off taking a break from screens to better enjoy our time with friends and family at the park?
