Pictionary3To mark World Autism Awareness Day in April, we are challenging people to host their own Pictionary game in Everton Park to help raise funds and awareness of Autism throughout the entire month.

Now in its 7th year, Drawtism is allowing more and more people to get together, be creative and help draw people with Autism out of their isolation.  Playing Pictionary provides people with a very small glimpse into the challenges facing those with autism.  The frustration experienced when trying to communicate through drawing can be similar to that experienced by people with autism on a daily basis, who find it difficult to communicate the ideas and pictures inside their heads.

Alpha Autism developed the Drawtism concept in an effort to combine fun with meaningful fundraising. Drawtism encourages participation, teamwork, creativity and inclusion; drawing people out of isolation and helping them to stay connected with their communities.

To get involved, please visit the http://drawtism2013.gofundraise.com.au website.  You can join a Drawtism team in your state, start your own Drawtism fundraising event, or simply click here to donate to this great cause.
