It’s that time of year where local Brisbanites get the chance to celebrate all things Brisbane!
To start off this Saturday night is the famous Riverfire, where massive crowds gather around the Brisbane River, ready to watch Brisbane’s skies light up with fireworks.
When the fireworks finish there will be plenty more events to see and do. For instance if you visit King George Square in Brisbane you can see The Spiegeltent, which is a part pub and part cabaret music experience. You can visit The Spiegeltent from 7pm every night until September the 25th for some great shows, but tickets sell quickly so book ahead.
Then there’s entertainment to be experienced in the form of Brisbane Backyards, which I mentioned in my blog a few weeks ago. You can catch one of the Brisbane Backyard Concerts in our very own Everton Park.
As you can see there will be plenty to experience as part of this year’s Brisbane Festival, so there is no excuse to be bored for the next few weeks. Visit www.brisbanefestival.com.au to find out about all the exciting events on offer.
And p.s. if you want to see the Riverfire fireworks this Sunday without the huge crowds, try the Mt Coot-tha lookout or the Mt Gravatt lookout.
