There are a lot of important factors involved in successfully selling a home and in my last blog I went over the fundamentals of setting the right price and creating a marketing plan.
Apart from marketing your home in the right way though, presenting it at its best is also a crucial component in helping it sell for the best price.
Making Improvements – If you’re home is looking a little old or dated then making small improvements to it may help its chances of selling. Before you sell it’s a good idea to fix any of those things that you’ve been putting off, such as paint work or leaky taps. If you’re thinking of making any drastic changes though, be careful of the risk of overcapitalising. It’s a good idea to ask your real estate agent for advice before spending any huge amounts of money on renovations that you think might help a property sale.
Staging Your Home – When you stage a home for sale the goal is to make it look as appealing as possible to potential buyers. To do this give your house a good clean and get rid of any clutter. You may also like to move furniture around so that your home can be viewed in its best possible light.
As you can see there are lots of things that can be done to help improve the outcome of a property’s sale. If you’re selling for the first time or maybe even for the fiftieth time and have any questions about selling or real estate in general then please feel free to get in touch with me and I’ll help you in any way that I can.
