A lot of people of people in Everton Park have been talking about Queensland’s new land values, which were released about a week ago.
In Everton Park we were very fortunate to see land values in our suburb go up, especially considering that a lot of Brisbane land values went down due to the January floods.
Land values in Everton Park have gone up by 12 percent, bringing the median new value to $295,000. The median land value for the entire Brisbane City Council region went up by 6 percent to the new value of $310,000. If you would like to see land values for any other suburbs you can find them all here.
Some people get a little confused by the meaning of land valuations, but they basically represent what the market value of your land is (not including the house) in its present state. Land values also take into consideration improvements to the land such as filling, clearing, levelling or drainage works.
The new Queensland land values will come into affect on June 30. If you are interested in learning more about the valuations and what they could mean for you and your Everton Park real estate, then head to www.derm.qld.gov.au/property/valuations/index.html.
