Over the last couple of weeks I’ve written some blogs with advice about downsizing your home in Everton Park, but once all the hard work of finding a place and culling some of your belongings is done, you’re free to enjoy your new home.
So settle in and think about all of the good things that you can expect from living in a smaller place:
- Say goodbye to days of housework – One of the best things about living in a smaller home is that it comes with less maintenance! If you have a small lawn for instance, you should be able to trim it with just a push mower now – so no more petrol fumes for you!
- You’ll be rolling in it – A smaller house = smaller bills! With less space to heat, cool, light and clean you will notice lower electricity and water costs – no more sprinkling the garden.
- Nest, Nest, Nest – Less space means more of a chance to make it your own. Most people with houses have a utility room or an area where they don’t like the decoration. With a more defined living space you’ll be forced to clean up your act – then decorate it.
- Hit the Road: Now you’re saving all that money and everything’s so easy to maintain, you might be able to take more holidays or spend more on other interests.
So once you’re all settled into your new cosy cottage, unique unit or tasteful townhouse you can really start to enjoy the simpler life.
If you’ve just downsized, I hope you enjoy your new abode and that it’s just the right size for you and your family.
