Free Transport Could Be On The Cards For Everton Park’s Seniors

Seniors living in Everton Park may soon be able to travel for free, that is if Labor wins the next Brisbane City Council election.

Under the proposed policy, Brisbane’s seniors will be travel for free during all off-peak travel periods which are 9am until 3.30pm weekdays and after 7pm on weekdays and all day on weekends and public holidays.

The plan will cost the Brisbane City Council $5.7 million each year, but it would be a great way of helping to ease the cost of living for senior residents.

We’re sure a lot of Everton Park residents would agree that this would be a great initiative if it gets in as it would make travelling around Brisbane much easier for our senior residents.

You can read more about the story in the Brisbane Times.
