Changes in buying concessions occurred at the start of last week that will impact many Queensland homebuyers.
As of August 1, homebuyers can no longer claim on stamp duty concessions which for some meant a saving of up to $8000.
While Queensland homebuyers have lost one concession though, there is now a new one to take its place.
Homebuyers can now claim for the Queensland Government Building Boost Grant, which is available to all who buy or build a new home in Queensland.
There were plenty of homebuyers rushing in to buy homes to help secure the stamp duty concessions, but hopefully the new building boost proves to be just as popular amongst homebuyers.
