The June/July school holidays are just around the corner, and so we thought we would provide a few school holiday ideas to help keep the kids of Everton Park amused.
The Everton Park Library always holds school holiday activities for the kids to take part in. During these school holidays there will be crafty kid’s activities and pantomimes for the kids to watch, or you can also visit the library to hire out books, games and DVDs to help keep the kids entertained over the break.
You might also like to take the kids out to spend the day at Teralba Park where there is a playground, half-court basketball, a barbeque area and plenty or room to run around.
If your child or teenager likes cycling, they may also like to take advantage of the Kedron Brook bike trail that travels from Everton Park Lands and through to Grinstead Park. The bike trail follows the length of the brook, passing through creekside parks, and there are plenty of great spots to stop for a picnic or bbq.
Throughout Greater Brisbane there are plenty more activities to get up to, such as visiting museums, art galleries or the temporary ice rink in the city, but it’s nice to get up to activities that are cheap and right on our doorstep.
What will your kids be getting up to these school holidays? If you would like to find out more things to get up to over the school break, then why not ask the Everton Park community over at the I Love Everton Park facebook page?
