Did you consider where the rest of your family lived when you moved into your first home away from home?
Chances are that you did because recent results from the Australian Bureau of Statistics have shown that the majority of first homeowners choose homes that are in the same area as their origin.
According to the research, only 20 percent of home buyers move interstate for their first home, with the majority (51 percent) choosing to buy a home that is close to family.
If you were to go door knocking in the Everton Park community you would probably find that a lot of people have relatives living in the same neighbourhood, or at least a short drive away.
Anybody who lives close to their family and their friends will probably tell you that there are a lot of benefits to living near your loved ones – you have a close support network, it helps create a sense of community, and family dinners are only a short drive away.
We would love to hear about families in the Everton Park region that live close to each other? Did you choose your home to stay near your family or your friends? Would you live anywhere else?
