We often talk about home sustainability on our blog and so we’re looking forward to this Sunday’s Sustainable House Day where we will have the opportunity to learn more about sustainable home features.
On Sustainable House Day, people in communities all throughout Australia will be able to visit local homes that have taken advantage of design and/or technology to help make a home that has a low environmental impact.
There are four sustainable homes in the Brisbane area that Everton Park residents may want to visit. The homes are located in Highvale, Cannon Hill New Farm and Holland Park and they all have different home sustainability features that may provide inspiration to those who visit them.
The homes will be open from 10am until 4pm and will be free to visit. The owners will be at their homes on the day to answer questions, and you can also print out information sheets about the houses online.
If you would like to find the addresses of the houses, and more information about Sustainable House Day then you can visit www.sustainablehouseday.com.
So will you be visiting Brisbane’s Sustainable Homes on Sustainable House Day? If you pick up any clever sustainable ideas then please share them with the rest of the Everton Park community.
