According to a survey carried out by realestate.com.au the majority or homeowners (57 per cent) want to put away extra money towards their mortgage, to help them get ahead and pay their home loan off quicker.
This is a smart idea if you can do it, as it will help lower your interest rate payments sooner and you will end up saving money in the long run.
Another popular property resolution for the New Year is to upgrade to a bigger or better home for the New Year. The realestate.com.au survey indicated that 36 per cent of homeowners want to upgrade their home in the New Year to a home that offers more living space.
