The race that stops a nation is almost ready to start, so if you haven’t already then it’s time to start thinking about what you’ll be doing on Melbourne Cup Day.
While Queenslanders aren’t as fortunate as our Victorian counterparts to get a day off, many of us still take the time out of our days to dress up and head to a luncheon or function.
If you want to go somewhere local, the Everton Park Hotel will be holding a special Melbourne Cup Lunch, which is sure to be a popular destination on Cup Day.
Of course there will be Melbourne Cup events taking place all around town next Tuesday though, so I’d love to hear what other plans Everton Park residents have for the day.
