Celebrate our local parks on World Parks Day

Everton Park residents are being encouraged to celebrate World Parks Day on Monday September 17 by taking the time to visit their local park.

In Everton Park we’re very fortunate to be surrounded by fantastic parks and reserves, including Teralba Park which is considered one of Brisbane’s best kept secrets.

There are plenty of reasons to visit our local parks – you can go there to get some exercise, to have a barbecue or picnic with friends, to take your dog for a walk, or to let your kids play. At Teralba Park, kids also love running through the vine maze.

Another reason to love Teralba Park and other parks in Brisbane is because many of them offer free wi-fi.

A few other parks and reserves in the area that are worth the visit on World Parks Day and every other day of the year include Bunyaville Forest Reserve, Chermside Hills Reserve, Enoggera Forest, Scenic Reserve and more.

It’s so important to have parks and green spaces in our communities, and we’re very fortunate to have so many parks and reserves in the Everton Park area that we can all enjoy.

So let’s head out over the weekend and on Monday to celebrate World Parks Day!
