Little Athletics – A Great Term 4 Activity for Everton Park Kids

Brian Brady Latest News | What's Happening in Everton Park 19th October, 2012 No Comments

Going back to school in term 4 rarely brings the same level of excitement, anticipation or enthusiasm as it does at the start of the year.  In fact, when speaking with Everton Park parents at this time of the year a common complaint seems to be that their children are tired, unmotivated, and already looking forward to their summer holidays.

So what is the key to keeping children motivated and energized in this final term of the year?  Arana Little Athletics, held at Leslie Patrick Park, is aimed at helping children to develop positive attitudes and healthy lifestyles.  It provides age-appropriate programs for all children aged between 5 and 16 years from September through until March, and there’s also a Tiny Tots group for 3 to 4 year olds.  Children of all skills and fitness levels are encouraged to get involved and have a go. The focus is on family, fun and fitness, which creates a happy, non-competitive and supportive environment in which children can strive to improve and achieve their personal best.

Little Athletics is a voluntary organization, so all parents, grandparents and friends are welcomed with open arms and encouraged to help out whenever they can.  This is one of the few occasions where you can be fully involved in your child’s sporting interests, watching and celebrating their every throw, sprint and jump.

To arrange a free trial or to register your child at our nearest centre, please contact Arana Little Athletics Centre.

If you know of other local activities that might be of interest to Everton Park families as the school year draws to a close, please share them here.  We’d love to hear what other Everton Park clubs and groups are doing.
